Do you have a Brand?

Nope. Not now. And, is it necessary?

How do you choose the idea and the colors in any new project?

If I’ve got some clear ideas in my head, I’ll make them known to the client and take it from there. If they already have something in their mind, we will move from there.

What does your typical day look like?

Currently I am a reviewer for ThemeForest and GraphicRiver,  while I also have to respond to some of the support tickets from Envato Marketplaces users. That takes most of my time now, but I still enjoy it. The first thing I do every morning is reviewing files. It is interesting to check out some creative and awesome works from other designers/developers. Other than that, I try to maintain 1 client at a time. I believe focus is needed and that’s what the client pay for. However, freelancing allow me to manage my working hours in a more flexible way.

What are the tools you couldn’t live without?

The only thing that really gets used every day without fail is Photoshop.

What do you do in your free time?

Hmm.. work! I just don’t know how to stop. After I start freelancing, the only moment considered as free time is when you do not connect to internet. I spent most of my free time with my family.

Current favorite apps?

Tweetie.

What OSs do you prefer?

I am using PC now but I am going to switch to Mac soon, waiting for the new macbook pro to be released. I am not sure why but more and more web designers/developers are moving to Mac and my friend keep talking about how good is Mac can increase our productivity, so, I am going to try it out.

Favorite: Colors, Font, Languages (PHP, Ruby), JS Framework?

Currently, I like black, white, gray and fresh green. Futura, MgOpen Modata and Helvetica/Arial are the font I used the most. I think I am not a hard core developer / programmer. I know some php, Ruby, Js and for sure my strength is CSS.

The things or source that inspired you?

I like observation. I observe what others are doing and I enjoy it. The biggest inspiration in my life which encourage me to become a web designer is Nick La’s work. It is awesome.

What’s do you prefer, the freelance work or the full time employee?

I’ve tried both, and for me, I think both are pretty much the same. At least in this industry. Currently I am really happy doing what I do, it is flexible and the most importantly, I am doing what I like. Maybe I will return to the full time employment someday, maybe.

Your personnel projects and goals for 2010?

I will re-design one of my wordpress site – themetation. Not yet decide what I am going to do with it. Also, I may re-design my personal blog, make it easier to update, update my portfolio, and write more tutorials to benefit the community. Also, there will be a new project launched in next or next two months. A site related to blog shopping.
